Yes, we can repair scratched glass. A lot goes into repairing scratched glass to make sure the end result is acceptable. We go through a series of steps that can take out scratches of varying depths on most types of glass. However, sometimes the amount of time it takes to get out scratches exceeds the cost to have the glass replaced. This is especially true in cheap glass with extreme damage and most auto glass.
Our process can be broken down into these 3 main categories: removing damage, pre-polishing, and polishing. We use a proprietary process that allows us to remove a wide range of damage that others can’t or won’t do. Take a look at our demo page to see a video from start to finish.
Due to the nature of glass restoration, there are always risks associated with grinding on glass. The two main risks are glass breakage and distortion. Even when all precautions have been taken a piece of glass can break and distortion can occur. As of now, February 2020, we have never had a piece of glass break. This doesn’t mean it can’t happen though (knock on wood). The deeper the damage is the more likely that some distortion is going to occur at some viewpoints. No glass is perfect, to begin with, and the larger it is the more imperfect it is. When you add in a process that removes glass on portions of it, distortion can occur. Our goal is to remove the damage and leave no distortion within “normal viewing”. Normal viewing depends on the glass, location, and it’s purpose.

Yes, we can repair scratched glass that is very deep. We define extreme damage as any damage that has flakes of glass removed or any area that you can catch your fingernail in. This type of extreme damage can be restored, however, if it is on cheap glass it is more cost effective to have it replaced.
Yes, if you have more than 10 windows that need to be repaired. We will come out to do a demo on a piece of glass of our choosing that will demonstrate our service. Check out our demo page.
